Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 November 2026
- We only collect what you type into our forms: to tell you when we launch, to pass your order to a kitchen, or to list your kitchen.
- We never sell your data and never handle your payments.
- We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time: contact@mealprepfinder.co.uk.
1. Who we are
Meal Prep Finder (mealprepfinder.co.uk) is a website that helps people in the UK compare and order from independent meal prep kitchens that deliver to their postcode. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Meal Prep Finder.
We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. If you have any question about it, email us at contact@mealprepfinder.co.uk.
Meal Prep Finder is currently in a preview stage. Kitchens, prices and orders shown on the site are examples, and no real orders are processed yet.
2. What we collect and why
If you join our launch list
Your postcode, email address and, if you choose to tell us, what kind of meal prep you're looking for. We use this to email you when kitchens are available in your area, and to understand which areas to launch in first.
Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to us.
If you send an order request to a kitchen
Your name, email, phone number, delivery address, postcode, chosen plan, start date and any notes you add. We pass this to the kitchen you chose so they can confirm your order, deliver it and send you a payment link. We keep a record of the order so we can calculate the commission the kitchen pays us.
Legal basis: taking steps at your request to arrange your order (contract), and our legitimate interest in keeping accurate records with our partner kitchens.
Allergies and dietary notes. If you tell us about an allergy or a health-related dietary need, that is sensitive (“special category”) data. We only use it to pass it on to the kitchen so they can prepare your food safely, and we rely on your explicit consent, which you give by choosing to include it. Please only share what the kitchen needs to know.
If you apply to list your kitchen
Your kitchen name, your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, the postcode areas you deliver to and any links you send us. Later, if you join, we also hold the menu, plans, prices and photos you give us so we can build your kitchen page, and the information we need to invoice you.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to your enquiry and setting up a partnership, and then the contract between us.
If you email us
Your email address and whatever you include in your message, so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your questions.
Technical data
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don't use this to identify you or build a profile of you.
3. Cookies
We don't use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies, so we don't show a cookie banner. If we ever add them, we will ask for your permission first and update this policy.
Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser downloads them, Google receives your IP address as part of the request. Google does not set cookies for this.
4. Who we share your data with
- The kitchen you order from: only the details of your order request, so they can fulfil it.
- Netlify: hosts our website and stores form submissions.
- Microsoft: provides our email (Microsoft 365).
- Google: provides the fonts used on the site (see Cookies).
- Professional advisers or authorities: only where the law requires it.
We never sell your personal data or share it for other companies' marketing.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by contract terms approved under UK data protection law.
5. How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Launch list sign-ups | Until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after we launch in your area, whichever comes first |
| Order requests | 6 years, for our accounting and tax records with partner kitchens |
| Kitchen enquiries that don't lead to a partnership | 12 months |
| Partner kitchen details | For the length of the partnership, then 6 years for accounting and tax records |
| Emails | Up to 2 years after our last contact, unless they form part of the records above |
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your data
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to us using it
- ask for your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it
To use any of these rights, email contact@mealprepfinder.co.uk. We'll reply within one month. There is no charge.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Keeping your data safe
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to personal data to the people who need it to run Meal Prep Finder. We never ask for or store your card details: you always pay kitchens directly.
8. Children
Meal Prep Finder is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if anything changes, and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell people on our launch list by email.
